Jon Stewart's Sept. 11th Speech

Something everyone should watch is Jon Stewart's moving and eloquent speech after the Sept. 11th tragedy. It's hard for me to watch without getting tears in my eyes. That's one reason I like Jon better as a comedy host---he has great sincerity, even in his comic monologues.

Good comedy is usually built on something very true and depressing. It's usually a way to get relief from the insanity and pain we go through. The best comedy does not hide from true emotion and sadness. It respects it. It tries to find the silver lining, helps kiss our wounds, and gives us the spark of joy to stand up again.
