Bill Gates is ALIVE---Sounds Like a Bad Joke. Jian Shuo Wang Got Married!

Jian Shuo, who works for Microsoft in Shanghai and was one of my cowriters for Tiger Cafe, just freaked me out with his message in my tagboard to the left.

According to his blog, major media companies in China reported Saturday that Bill Gates had been murdered in Los Angeles.

THIS REPORT IS COMPLETELY FALSE. Sounds like a cruel April Fool's Day joke to me.

Some companies who said this reportedly included: CNN, China International Radio Station, Sina.com.cn, Sohu.com, Yahoo! China, CCTV 4, and Oriental TV. My jaw dropped. I can't believe journalists would report this in a blind frenzy without checking the facts!
