since we're on a monty python kick, i just have to take the opportunity to say that I Like Spam!

no, not junk email. i mean the stuff in cans :)

i don't understand why it's so reviled. i suppose it's terribly unhealthy and poor quality meat or something, but... i can't help it. i like spam. i just had some for lunch, so i suppose the monty python post was fortuitous :)

of course i also like pork rinds and the sound of nails on a chalkboard, so i guess my taste is never going to be mainstream :)

on the opposite tack - things people like which i don't. classic example : why do so many people think brad pitt is cute? i don't find him attractive at all. in Interview with the Vampire he looked like he had mumps; his jaw stuck out so much. then again, most people seem to think jennifer aniston is attractive too, and i don't see that at all either...

Back to Monty : oddly enough, i've never watched Monty Python. not a single episode. and my best friend was a total Monty Python fan, too. but somehow we just never got around to watching some tapes together.

there's a british sitcom i really loved, and i cannot for the life of me remember what it was called. the main character was a painter, and he used to go to a pub with this rather funny big bartender who had sticky-outy teeth and bug eyes. uh. anyone know what i'm talking about? it had a really nice theme song too...
