keeping the babble alive

wow, another girl's gone missing. they're really on a roll, aren't they? she looks pretty cute. we were looking at her pic on CNN's website this morning and my colleague said she looks just like her younger sister did when she was little. i hope they find her before anything happens. once it's past a day the chances get exponentially tinier of finding missing people alive...

and then there's those miners trapped in the shaft that got flooded. thank goodness for modern technology. i was relieved to hear that they were sending in compressed air. they were talking about the danger of hypothermia since the water's cold. i was wondering how hard it would be for them to stick a couple of heaters in the water while they were at it. after all, if we're good enough now to send in air and rescue stuck people, what's a little water-heating? :) it's too bad it didn't happen here in LA, it's so damn hot here right now i feel like a boiled lobster.

the air i see from my window here is smoggy and a strange cross between grey and yellow. with that tricky little shimmer that makes me keep wondering if spielberg is going to pop up at any second with a megaphone shouting "unleash the zoids!" or something. and then all the buildings in front of me will suddenly vanish as the holograms are turned off, and i'll find i've been working in the matrix all along... oh wait, wrong movie.

hey, aren't you guys going to post anything? i don't wanna be the only chickie talking to myself here... *whimper*
